CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Thursday afternoon, two-seed Indiana softball will take on seven-seed Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals at Eichelberger Field in Champaign, Ill. 

The Hoosiers closed out their regular season with a 40-15 overall record and an 18-5 Big Ten conference slate after sweeping Michigan State at Andy Mohr Field last weekend.

The Nittany Lions finished their regular season with a 30-15 record and 11-11 conference finish. On Wednesday, Penn State defeated Michigan 3-2 in the first round. The Hoosiers and Nittany Lions didn't face each other this season and last met in 2022 when Penn State won the series 2-1.
