IOWA CITY, Iowa - Iowa Basketball is focused on adding post help from the transfer portal. Several key targets are expected to be visiting campus soon.

The Hawkeyes must replace all-Big Ten big man Filip Rebraca and, likely, leading scorer and rebounder Kris Murray. The latter retains eligibility but is projected as a first-rounder in June's NBA Draft.

Iowa faces formidable competition for the student-athletes it's pursuing. Alabama, Florida, Penn State, Virginia, Seton Hall and Arkansas are among the programs in the mix.

Here's a look at who's planning on coming to town along with some other players who have mentioned the Hawkeyes. They currently have three open scholarships for 2023-24:

B.J. Mack, 6-8, 245, Wofford

'22-23 Statistics: 16.6 PPG, 5.6 RPG

'22-23 Honors: 1st-team All-Southern Conference by coaches and media, NABC All-District

Transfer Portal Rankings: On3 (144), 247 (58), Rivals (32)

Finalists: Iowa, Arkansas, South Carolina, Alabama, LSU

Skinny: Mack plans on officially visiting the five schools he's listed as finalists for his services. According to On3, the Charlotte, NC native is scheduled to be at LSU on Friday followed by Alabama (April 14), Iowa (April 17), South Carolina (April 21) and Arkansas (April 29).

Mack, who attended Oak Hill Academy as a prep, began his career at South Florida. He left Tampa after one season there and spent the last three campaigns at Wofford, where he's scored 1,199 points. He started all 64 games for which he was available the last two winters.

The Hawkeyes are up against geography here with it being the only northern school for someone from North Carolina. However, they have a lot to sell as a program and have a shot if he makes it to campus.

Jordan Minor, 6-8, 240, Merrimack

'22-23 Statistics: 17.4 PPG, 9.4 RPG

'22-23 Honors: Northeast Conference Co-POY, NABC and USBWA All-District, NEC Defensive POY

Transfer Portal Rankings: On3 (122), 247 (28), Rivals (5)

Finalists: Iowa, Virginia, Seton Hall, Florida Gulf Coast

Skinny: Minor reportedly will be at Virginia and Florida Gulf Coast this coming weekend before heading to Iowa and Seton Hall the following weekend. He's also heard from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Arkansas, Florida and quite a few others.

During his four seasons at Merrimack, the 6-foot-8, 240-pound Minor netted 1,349 points and pulled down 791 rebounds. Most of that damage came in the last three years, when he averaged at least 12.0 points and 8.1 rebounds in each.

If you're an Iowa Hoops fan, dream on Minor being in the Hawkeye uniform while watching the video below. In case you missed it above, he's his conference's defensive player of the year.

Josh Cohen, 6-10, 220, St. Francis (PA)

'22-23 Statistics: 21.8 PPG, 8.3 RPG

'22-23 Honors: Northeast Conference Co-POY, NABC all-district

Transfer Portal Rankings: On3 (143), 247 (104), Rivals (55)

Finalists: Iowa, Penn State, UMass, Santa Clara.

Skinny: Fans won't have to wait long when it comes to Cohen. He's scheduled to announce his decision on Thursday, and is down to Iowa, Penn State, UMass and Santa Clara.

After redshirting in '19-20, Cohen joined the St. Francis rotation. He averaged 21.8 points and 8.3 rebounds in '22-23 while playing 33.7 points per game. He scored 1,132 points and grabbed 533 rebounds in all.

He's very strong around the basket with good agility and a unique way of finishing at times. He's skilled in the post. His game is a hybrid of Rebraca and Luka Garza.
