It took some time after putting together an outstanding junior season, but Brevin Doll finally is seeing the fruits of his accomplishments. The Adel (IA) A-D-M standout is one of the state's fastest risers on the recruiting trail

Iowa Football offered him a scholarship on Monday. Minnesota did the same on Tuesday. They followed opportunities from Oklahoma State on Sunday, South Dakota on Saturday, and Kansas State, Northern Iowa and Princeton since Jan. 26.

"It means a lot, especially being in state," Doll told HN about his Hawkeye offer. "It means I have the chance to stay close to home."

Doll (6-0, 190) led the state with 2,681 all-purpose yards in 2022. He rushed for 1,475 yards (8.2 YPC) and 27 touchdowns, and accumulated 640 receiving yards (19.4 YPR) with six scores. He averaged 38.8 yards and found the end zone once on 12 kick returns, and returned four punts for 100 yards and a TD.

He could end up at receiver in college, but the Hawkeyes see using him in the backfield.

"Right now, they are thinking running back," he said.

Doll is a strong all-around athlete for A-D-M. He's averaging 7.3 points and 3.1 rebounds for the basketball team this winter after a sophomore season in track that saw him run the 100 meters in 10.74 seconds, the 200 in 21.89 and the 400 in 51.17.

The Iowa Track and Field program took notice of him winning the Class 3A 200 and finishing second in the 100 at the state meet in Des Moines last May. Coach Joey Woody played host to him on a recruiting visit in December.

Doll is keeping an open mind in recruiting despite the allure of staying close to home and playing for the Hawkeyes. He's building relationships with all the programs that have offered him and the ones that have yet to do so.

"Things are going great with other schools. The next step is just visiting them all and seeing what they have to offer," he said.

Iowa Football is scheduled to play host to Doll at a junior day on March 5.

"I'm not sure when I want to make a (college)decision. I'm just taking it as it comes," he said.

247Sports ranks Doll as a three-star prospect, the No. 6 overall player in the state for '24 and the 77th-best athlete nationally in the cycle. He's still awaiting ratings from Rivals and On3.

Doll is interested in nutrition and could seek a college major involving it.
