Gavin Hoffman took part in the Lindenwood mega camp on Friday in hopes of showcasing his skills for college football programs. The Overland Park (KS) Blue Valley Northwest standout did just that as evidenced by the response.

After picking up a Missouri scholarship offer at its camp on Thursday, the 2024 tight end has reported offers from Iowa, Arizona State, Nebraska, Texas Tech and Purdue since Lindenwood. The Hawkeyes came forward on Monday.

"I really like the reputation they hold in their program for tight end," Hoffman told HN.

Hoffman (6-5, 220) enjoyed his time visiting Iowa in April. With a Hawkeye offer now in hand, he hopes to find out more about the school and area.

"Within a couple weeks, I should b up there," he said. "I want to learn more about Iowa City."

As a junior, Hoffman caught 39 passes for 713 yards and 11 touchdowns. He showed on his highlight film an ability to play in-line or from the slot with good speed and athleticism. At the Missouri camp last week, he recorded a 40.5-inch vertical leap and a 4.56-second, 40-yard dash

Hoffman will receive a lot of input from his family when selecting a school. He knows what's important to him.

"I want to go to a place that's going to develop me and to a school that's going to value me," he said.

Academics also represent a big part of the equation. He plans on majoring in Business.

On3 and 247Sports ranks Hoffman as a three-star recruit. The former sees him as the No. 5 player in Kansas for '24, while the latter puts him ninth.
