Iowa Football Adds Kaleb Brown
Iowa Football's fortifying of its offense continued in earnest Thursday. Highly-regarded Ohio State receiver Kaleb Brown announced he'd be joining the Hawkeyes.
Brown (5-10, 197) spent one year in Columbus after graduating from Chicago St. Rita in 2022. He entered the portal on Sunday.
After fielding the worst Power 5 offense in the country last season, the Hawkeyes have loaded up in the portal. They've have added Brown, quarterbacks Cade McNamara and Deacon Hill, tight end Erick All, receiver Seth Anderson, and offensive linemen Rusty Feth and Daijon Parker out of it.
Iowa recruited Brown when he was in high school. He spoke with HN back in '20, when the Hawkeyes offered a scholarship.
Brown ranked as a four-star and the No. 13 receiver nationally for '22 in the 247Sports composite. He reported scholarship offers from Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and a host of other programs.
Brown appeared in four games at Ohio State last Fall, preserving his redshirt. He caught one pass for five yards. The Buckeyes also lost '22 four-star receiver Caleb Burton recently.
