Game Primer: Eastern Illinois Panthers at Kansas Jayhawks Basketball
The Kansas Jayhawks are back in the friendly confines of Allen Fieldhouse, as they kick off a four-game home stretch that will hopefully serve as a reset and growth opportunity. The first opponent should give them that chance, as the Eastern Illinois Panthers are not very intimidating and don't do any one thing well enough to be able to lean on it against Kansas.
Kansas dropped in the polls after their loss to Marquette in the Maui Invitational, but they have plenty of opportunities to work their way back up in the rankings. Eastern Illinois is not one of those, as they are among the worst teams in Division I.
These two teams have never met, although the Jayhawks are a perfect 11-0 against teams currently in the Ohio Valley Conference.
