In this story:

Kansas beat Bob Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers over the weekend, so today we rate the players according to some famous Bobs. Not Robert. Not Rob. Not Bobby. Not Robbie. Bob.

And there were so many that I had to leave some Bobs off the list. You won’t see Uecker, Ross, or Dylan. You won’t get presidential flop Dole, or comedians Newhart or Saget. But don’t worry, there are a lot more. And really nobody but the one star is bad, so this ratings list is a little different than normal. As always, the “rules:”

5 Stars: Out of this world performance. This is a hard to achieve rating and is only reserved for the most impressive or impressionable performances.

4.5 Stars: Very strong performance, packed the stat sheet, provided undeniable intangibles.

4 Stars: A strong performance that falls just short of the standards above.

3.5 Stars: Above average performance, perhaps stands out in one category or one aspect of the game.

3 Stars: Average performance. Also could be a very strong game in one aspect but a very poor game in another such as 15 points but seven turnovers. Could also be that the player played, did their job, but didn't do much spectacularly.

2 Stars: Below average performance, or we simply have higher expectations for the player on this particular night.

1 Star: Rare, but if a player has a stinker in all aspects.

5 Stars: Bob Barker

The legendary The Price is Right host is our top Bob. He just turned 99 recently, and it’s weird but, as a child, I remember being absolutely mystified as to how on one episode of TPIR, Barker had perfect coifed brown hair and the next it was snow white. Young me was an idiot.

No one was a five star in this one.

4.5 Stars: Bob Odenkirk

Probably best known as Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad and then reprising the role on the even better (yes, I said it) Better Call Saul, Odenkirk is a hot name right now so he vaults up the list. Seriously, If you haven't watched Better Call Saul, you need to. It's amazing.

Gradey Dick canned a bunch of threes early in the contest and KU was rolling. He finished the day four of six from behind the arc and a perfect four of four from the charity stripe for a total of 16 to lead all scorers.

4 Stars: Bob from Sesame Street

We recently lost a TV legend in Sesame Street’s Bob McGrath. For those of us who grew up on the show, the loss was tough. Also, shout out to all my peeps who are old enough and still remember when Big Bird was the only one that could see Snuffy and everyone in the neighborhood thought he was insane.

I'm going to toss a lot of guys in the four-star category, starting with Jalen Wilson.  A 14-point, 14-rebound performance is usually grounds for a higher rating, but Jalen took too many shots. He was four of 12 from the field in this one. A good game, but one that would've been better with better shot selection and decision making.

Kevin McCullar bounced back after a sub-par performance against Texas Tech to show why he is so valuable to the Jayhawks. He led the team with three steals, while also contributing 12 points and grabbing eight boards.

Dajuan Harris didn't light it up from downtown like he did against Tech, but the Columbia point guard still nailed three on his way to 11 points. He added four assists as well.

KJ Adams didn't have a stellar game like we've recently been accustomed to seeing, but he was solid. Shot four of nine from the floor (a couple barely rimming out) and finished with 14 points. He played a key role in stopping West Virginia from getting easy looks down low.

3.5 Stars: Bob Marley

What if you had to name another famous reggae artist besides Bob Marley? Could you even do it?

Bob Pettiford (see what I did there?) was a little off his game, at least in the first half where he was a passenger. Finished with five points, three assists, three rebounds, but had two turnovers.

3 Stars: Bob Huggins

Love him or hate him, your favorite stool user gets the three star. He’s a great basketball coach, and a really funny guy. And remember that time he totally legally got Michael Beasley to come to K-State? Solid work, that.

Zuby Ejiofor and Zach Clemence played a combined seven minutes and scored two points (Clemence) and grabbed two rebounds (Ejiofor).

Coming off an injury, Joseph Yesufu didn't quite have it against the Mountaineers. Scored two points, grabbed two boards, and recorded a steal.

2 Stars: Bob Hope

I guess this guy is funny. Probably more so if your first car was a horse and buggy.

No one was a two star.

1 Star: Bob Costas’ Pink Eye

I couldn’t think of a one-star Bob, so I went with an affliction. Remember that time when Olympics host Bob Costas went on the air with an eye infection so bad that his eye was sealed shut and was weeping pus? Not good, Bob.

No one was as close to as bad as having an oozing sore on national TV.
