There is a little big of cushion in the Big 12 race for the Jayhawks thanks to the big win for Texas Tech over Baylor in the middle of the week. But Kansas can't afford a hiccup against West Virginia in Morgantown. They haven't played well there in the past, but this isn't as formidable a Mountaineer team as we are used to seeing.

Will the Jayhawks be able to get out of their own way? Our crew gets together to tell you what we think you can expect to see tomorrow.

Think we have it wrong? Come join us on the Blue Wings Rising Discord Server and join the conversation!

Derek Noll: Kansas always struggles at West Virginia. On the other hand, West Virginia isn’t good at basketball. I guess I’m gonna take Kansas to beat a not good team. Hashtag analysis.

Kansas 81, West Virginia 71.

Kyle_Davis21: To piggy-back on Derek’s #analysis, it’s not only that West Virginia isn’t very good at basketball. It’s that West Virginia’s weaknesses are Kansas’ strengths. The Mountaineers struggle to score while allowing opponents to grab offensive rebounds 34% of the time and shoot nearly 50% from inside the arc. Kansas should get enough second-chance points and points in the paint that I can’t see WVU keeping up.

Kansas 78, West Virginia 66

Brendan Dzwierzynski: The guys have already covered the basic themes of this contest. Kansas struggles on the road in Morgantown, but West Virginia is bad and getting worse. They’ve lost nine of their last 10 and, frankly, a loss Saturday night would be nothing short of egregious for KU. If the Jayhawks can prevent Taz Sherman from going absolutely nuclear, I don’t think this will be much of a game.

Kansas 79, West Virginia 67.

Andy Mitts: Looking over their Kenpom profiles, there is literally only three things that West Virginia does better than Kansas and they aren't even huge differences. They are getting shots blocked on offense, having the ball stolen on offense, and free throw shooting percentage. Where there are significant differences though, Kansas is set up well to run away with this one. This West Virginia team can't shoot well and they don't rebound well, so as long as the Jayhawks don't shoot themselves in the foot, they should be ok.
