In this story:

The Kansas Jayhawks had another matchup against a non-top 25 representative in basketball on Tuesday. The Jayhawks who have been on and off as of late were fairly off to end this game as they lost to BYU by a score of 76-68 at home.

The Jayhawks were expected by many to win this game especially with them having the home-court advantage however that was simply not the case on Tuesday as they fell short.

This loss moves the overall record to 21-7 ahead of their 3 regular season games that remain in the month of March before hitting conference tournament play and March Madness. Here are the good, bad, and ugly from the Jayhawks loss as the #7 ranked team in the nation.

The Good:

Overall, Hunter Dickinson played more like himself in this game, especially inside the paint. He finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double on the night.

First half KJ Adams, as he was pretty much unstoppable before halftime.

The Jayhawks did a great job drawing fouls and for the most part staying away from them.

The Bad:

Closing out on three-pointers was a huge issue for the Jayhawks. There were too many times where Kansas would double in the post and the extra defender's man would be left wide open for a deep shot. The 13 three pointers on the night for BYU weren't just them shooting well, but also scheming well with a side of poor execution by Kansas.

The Ugly:

Shooting. Kansas couldn't buy a bucket from three, with Johnny Furphy, and Nic Timberlake combining to go an abysmal 1-11 from beyond the arc. Dickinson and Adams both struggled to shoot in the second half, with the inside production taking a huge hit. And the free throw shooting was terrible, especially from Dickinson, who missed 9 of his 15 attempts.
