Injuries lead to updated depth chart for Kansas Jayhawks
We are past the point where the Kansas Jayhawks are trying to figure out which players are the best options this season. But that doesn't mean that the team's depth chart will remain the same the rest of the season. Multiple injuries have caused some shake-ups, and they could have some pretty big ramifications this week against Oklahoma State.
Below is the updated depth chart, as compiled by the communications office at the beginning of the week.
There is only one big change, with Jason Bean officially being listed as the starter ahead of Jalon Daniels, even with the OR designation included. But there are several injury updates that will affect who sees the field on Saturday.
Jalon Daniels did not practice early in the week, which was expected. At this point, the expectation is that he will be re-evaluated during the bye week to potentially play against Oklahoma.
Hayden Hatcher, who left the field with a shoulder injury in the third quarter of the game against UCF, was able to participate in practice on Tuesday. He is expected to be available as usual for the game.
Jereme Robinson did not practice early this week. He also left with what appeared to be a minor injury against UCF, but the extent of the injury isn't currently known.
With all these injuries, it is possible that we see a relatively large impact on the performance of the Jayhawks on Saturday. But ultimately, Kansas has enough pieces that they should be able to adapt on the road against an Oklahoma State squad with some serious flaws.
