The campaign for College Gameday has begun.

Calls for College Gameday to come to Lawrence had begun last week. But they kicked into high gear immediately after the Jayhawks beat the Cougars.

The Kansas Jayhawks are 3-0, and that has a LOT of people excited about the possibilities. One of those is an honor that the basketball team is used to getting but would be a first for football: College Gameday.

And while there were a lot of calls from Kansas fans for the production to make its way to Lawrence, KS, it was much more impressive how many national media members were captivated by the idea.

Travis Goff got in on the action, tagging pretty much everyone involved in the College Gameday production:

The complication is that Duke vs Kansas is slated for an 11am kickoff on FS1. While it isn't unprecedented for ESPN to go to the site of a game not broadcasting on one of their networks, it can make logistics difficult.

We'll keep an eye on this and update you as more information becomes available, but I think this tweet summed up the sentiment across the nation pretty well:
