The Countdown Begins: 100 Days Until Kansas Football 2023
After one of the most successful seasons in recent memory, the Kansas Jayhawks are preparing for year 3 under head coach Lance Leipold. And with the excitement intensifying through the offseason, today is a familiar milestone. The season officially begins 100 days from today.
That also means it is time to kick off our 100 Day countdown to the beginning of the season. With only one missed day last season, we covered a wide array of topics, from positional previews to realignment news. There was a celebration of players that would have been memorable in a return of EA Sports' NCAA Football game, a look ahead to the four new schools joining the conference this year, and of course, we wrapped it up with a tradition for the countdown: an adaptation of a song/poem to preview the season. And the one last season turned out to be somewhat prophetic.
So how do we follow up on last year's countdown? It starts with going bigger. We have the usual positional previews, game previews and podcast episodes. But we have plans to look at multiple underrated players that contributed to the success of last season. Our number rankings make the jump to the gridiron. We will dip into the film room for a deeper look at what made Kansas successful under Leipold and staff. And of course, breaking news around realignment or other important topics will be sure to fight for their own spot in the countdown.
You'll get to hear from everyone here at Blue Wings Rising, with everyone planning a to contribute in a recurring series. Plus, periodic roundtables will hit important topics as we all prepare for another season in Lawrence.
While I still can't promise that we will have an entry in the countdown every single day (after all, life happens no matter how well we plan), we have plenty of topics to cover. Plus, still plan to cover NBA draft news and any other breaking news for basketball or other sports in the meantime moving forward.
As always, we strive to bring you articles on the topics that YOU are interested in reading. So if you have any suggestions for topics to investigate, or if you have any questions that you want us to answer, head over to the Discord Server or contact us on Twitter.
