The Depth Chart stays consistent for Kansas at Texas

The Jayhawks have found a two-deep that works as they prepare to take on the Longhorns in Austin this week.

The Kansas Jayhawks are undefeated and entering the meat of the schedule, which is the perfect time to solidify that depth chart. And given the number of changes that we see in this depth chart compared to last week, it's clear that the coaches have found .

Looking at the 2-deep as released by Kansas Athletics earlier this week, it's hard not to notice just how much different it is. While most of the players listed are the same, many of them changed positions or flipped their spots on the depth chart.

As usual, the final depth chart is still subject to change based on practices and during the week game-planning.

Takeaways

There aren't many changes at all, with the only real difference being the Kwinton Lassiter no longer has to share the second string position behind Mello Dotson. But given how much the four cornerbacks rotate in and out, it's not a huge change on the field.

On the other side, the fact that JB Brown and Taiwan Berryhill are still sharing the OR designation tells me just as much about how effective Brown has been as it does about how the injury to Berryhill is affecting him.

Despite the three players listed for kick returns, it's pretty clear that Wilson has solidified his hold on those duties. But ultimately, the main takeaway to all of this is that Kansas is performing at a high level with guys who had cemented their roles on this team. That consistency should serve them well in the Big 12.
