The Kansas Jayhawks are fresh off their second victory in as many weeks, and man what a feeling it is! The impressive start last season was followed up by a gutty win on the road in conference, and the Jayhawks are 2-0 for the first time since 2011. That means that it is time to celebrate!

I was joined by Kyle Davis today to help run through everything that we saw from Kansas in their 55-42 OT win over the West Virginia Mountaineers. We started with the unfamiliar feeling of having a team that is actually good, instead of just kind of good. There is a look at some amazing offensive statistics before an appreciation of the offensive coaching staff to this point.

We ran through a defensive performance that wasn't amazing in the box score, but was extremely impactful on the field. And then we talked about the recognition this team is receiving on the national scale before turning our sights to an intriguing Houston matchup on Saturday.

The episode starts with a small celebration of the win from Saturday and just how different this feel, turning into a quick discussion about the not-so-far-fetched possibility that College Gameday might be finding it's way to Lawrence in the near future.  From there we dive in to the offensive performance, highlighting some ridiculous stats for this Kansas team. The offensive line gets some well-deserved recognition before we discuss the very real difference that this offensive staff brings to their approach for this team.

But we wouldn't be able to properly enjoy this win if we didn't recognize the worry that the start to the game brought. That leads into a discussion of the ability this team has to overcome some significant setbacks in a way that past Kansas teams have not had.

After the break, we dive in to some defensive performances. There aren't many stat lines that jump out to you, but the impact of this defense was much bigger than you saw in the box score, making it difficult for West Virginia all night long.

From there, we talk about the genuine surprise with the Big 12 Player of the Week awards before diving in to the national recognition for Jalon Daniels and what that means for the entire Kansas team.

And then we wrap with a quick look ahead to this weekend's game against the Houston Cougars. We identify some key areas to watch and look at a matchup that suddenly seems much more even than anyone thought coming into the year.

It's a fantastic ride, so make sure you listen!
