Podcast: Our Final Preview of the Final Four

Brendan Dzwierzynksi joins the show to wrap up our Final Four previews with a look at the pageantry surrounding this entire week for the Kansas Jayhawks.

The weekend is fast approaching, and with it comes the Final Four down in New Orleans, where the Kansas Jayhawks will take on the Villanova Wildcats (and hopefully either Duke or North Carolina on Monday in the National Championship). That means it's our last episode where we can chat about this team before they hit the court tomorrow.

In today's episode of the Rock Chalk Podcast, I was joined by Brendan Dzwierzynski to continue our tradition of previewing each game in the NCAA Tournament for this season. But instead of rehashing the same previews that we've already done, we started by appreciating the journey that got the team to this point. Then we looked at what we might expect from Kansas this weekend before finishing with an important message for all Kansas fans.

We started off today's episode by talking about all the festivities surrounding the Final Four, and how this entire week is really a celebration of everything that has happened this season to get to this point.

From there, we talked about what we were most impressed by in this run to the final weekend of the season. A lot of individual players were mentioned, including Jalen Wilson, David McCormack, Ochai Agbaji, and of course, Remy Martin.

Up next was a discussion about just how much the defense has improved over the course of the season. With that, we examined how versatile this team has become, as evidenced by the multiple ways that they won games in the tournament.

There was a discussion about the other matchup in this Final Four, and whether all the focus on Duke and North Carolina may have ended up being a good thing for Kansas. Make sure you listen to our arguments and then weigh in with your own thoughts.

We start to wrap up by talking about the players that we expect to step up this weekend, and what type of performances we might have from a squad who will be playing their last games together.
