Carson Bruhn Revisits His Kansas Commitment
The Kansas Jayhawks have done a great job adding weapons to their recruiting class. One of the weapons they added was Carson Bruhn.
Carson Bruhn is a 6-foot-6 235-pound tight end from Sioux Central High School in Sioux Center, Iowa.
He signed with Kansas and will be on his way to attempt to make an impact for the Jayhawks soon.
Following his signing he spoke with Blue Wings Rising to talk about his journey and decision.
He talked about what made Kansas the correct choice.
“Due to coaching changes a lot has definitely changed since I’ve committed, but there are still things that haven’t changed,” Bruhn stated to Blue Wings Rising. “The focus on football and improvement of facilities shows that the university is putting more effort into football. The relationships and culture Leipold has created at KU are also two reasons that made KU great. Finally, the academics at KU are amazing and the coaching staff at KU understands that the athletes are also students and put a focus on education.”
He had a specific message to any recruit who may be considering Kansas.
“Take a visit. I had no idea how great KU was until I went on a visit. Meeting the coaching staff and players is an amazing experience.”
“I love the strength and conditioning staff. Very energetic but also intelligent people. I also got the chance to meet with Travis Goff and learn about how he has put a ton of effort into improving the football program and facilities.”
As mentioned earlier he is a tight end so he will be a weapon for his quarterbacks down the road.
“The tight end room this upcoming year has a ton of experience so I’m super excited to get there and learn from guys like Jared Casey, Trevor Kardell, and DeShawn Hanika. They all have a ton of experience and are all great leaders. So I’d say I’m more excited about the impact they’ll have on me than the impact I’ll make.”
