Kansas has been targeting many recruiting targets from across the world. One of the more recent targets to surface on the Kansas recruiting board is the 2026 center prospect Grant Wise.

Wise is a center from Pace High School in Milton, Florida. He is a 6-foot-3 300-pound frame which is elite size for his age bracket. Following his Kansas Jayhawks offer Wise spoke with Blue Wings Rising about his offer and his thoughts throughout this process so far.

“The Kansas offer is an opportunity to further my education and play football at a high level! It is also important to note coach Wallace and coach Onatolu stopped by the school. Although as a 2026 recruit, I am not allowed to have a conversation with them, my coach called me into the office to see what I looked like, after they left he told me I received an offer.”

Wise doesn't just like the offer from Kansas because of opportunities on the field. He has a focus on his schooling in addition to his athletic career. “I have heard about their engineering program and that interests me because I want to go into the engineering field.”

Back talking about his football talents he commented on how he believes he could impact a high-level program like Kansas. “I feel I would bring a strong work ethic and push the others around me.”

Wise has made it very clear that there isn’t necessarily a leader or a group of leaders in his recruitment yet. “As a sophomore, I am interested in all the schools interested in me and I am not ready to narrow my list.”

Visiting is always a key factor in recruiting. Getting athletes on campus is huge for Kansas and the rest of the field and Wise acknowledged that. “I would love to visit since I have never been to Kansas.”
