Mother Of Kenyon Rivera Talks Rivera On And Off The Field
Kenyon Rivera is a Buford High School athlete. He plays linebacker and edge rusher for the talented Georgia high school. Rivera received his Kansas Jayhawks offer recently and spoke with Blue Wings Rising to go more in-depth on his offer.
Kenyon Rivera Talks Kansas Offer
After the conversation that I had with Rivera his mother (Ashley Williams) spoke with me to talk more about her son on and off the field to give us a whole new perspective.
“Kenyon is a very humble and quiet kid most of the time,” Ashley said about Rivera. “He is easygoing and can sometimes be a jokester. He is into football of course, but outside of that he is very much into shoes, different brands of clothing, and cars.”
“To me what separates Kenyon from the average athlete is his commitment and effort he gives,” Said Ashley. “Kenyon will work out during first period with the team, have practice after school, and when he gets home will ask to go back to the field to put in his own independent work…even on the weekends or off days with the team. He always goes hard. There is no mediocrity or in-between when he is active.”
His mother went into more detail about him in the classroom as that will always be key to getting college offers and education. “Kenyon does well in school. He is an average student. He is normally a B+ student with great attendance.”
The Jayhawks have consistently been recruiting inside of Buford High School as I also spoke with the father of Rivers’s teammate Jordan Allen. Take a look below.
