A return to Kentucky is still on the table for Adou Thiero
It was reported that Kentucky guard/forward Adou Thiero was going to enter the transfer portal, which would be a massive blow to this Kentucky team.
We hadn't heard from Thiero, but he released a statement on Saturday about his plans going forward. Thiero had this to say, "#BBN, After talking with Coach Calipari, I feel it is best at this time to test the waters professionally, entering my name in the 2024 NBA Draft, while keeping all of my options open, including a return to Kentucky. I'd like to thank the fans, my coaches and teammates for their support over the last two years. I look forward to going through this process to determine the next step for me."
Thiero has a shot to be a solid NBA player, but more than likely, it would take one more season in college to make it happen, and if you're a Kentucky fan, you're hoping that season comes in Lexington.
Thiero was Kentucy's best defender and rebounder this season, as he was the only Wildcat that brought the physicality Coach Calipari has been looking for.
If Thiero were to decide to play for Kentucky next season, it would really help the Wildcats with the physicality they need on both ends of the floor. He is also an elite driver and makes his free throws.
Thiero will more than likely come back to play college basketball next season, so Kentucky fans will hope this is in blue and white and not another color.
