Jerod Smith signs with the Kentucky Wildcats

Defensive lineman Jerod Smith officially signs with the Kentucky Wildcats.

Jerod Smith made it official by signing with the Kentucky Wildcats, and this kid is a player we will see on the field the second he walks on campus his freshman season.

Let's get to know a little bit more about Smith.

Jerod Smith

Position: Defensive Line

Size: 6'3, 265 pounds

Hometown: Corbin, Kentucky

Recruitment: Smith has offers from nearly every big school in the nation and was committed to Michigan for a while but decided to flip to play for the Cats.

Ranking: Smith is ranked as the 82nd player in 247Sports composite rankings and is a four-star.

Frame: Smith has a great frame to get after the quarterback, but he will have to put on some good weight when he gets on campus. This kid will be a monster in the blue and white.

Early Signing Day: Wednesday, December 20th is Early Signing Day, which means players committed to Kentucky's 2024 recruiting class will make it official by signing their National Letter of Intent (NLI). This is a big day for Mark Stoops and the Kentucky football program as they look to officially lock down some of the tremendous talented committed in the 2024 class.
