In this story:

The tight end room will be crucial to this 2023 Kentucky football team as they will help the offensive line block and be a safety blanket for Devin Leary.

The Wildcats have a deep tight end room that includes Josh Kattus, Jordan Dingle, Izayah Cummings and Brenden Bates.

Each of these players will have a role for this Kentucky team, but Kattus is in for a massive sophomore season after the strong end to his freshman campaign.

As a freshman, Kattus caught seven passes for 125 yards, including a 70-yard reception against Louisville in the Wildcat's 26-13 win over their rival.

Kentucky tight ends only had 41 receptions last season. I expect that number to increase significantly in 2023.

This position room has a ton of upside and is one of if not the best groups on the team.

The tight ends have gotten bigger, faster, and stronger in the offseason, which should lead to success on the field.

I believe Kattus is the most underrated tight end in the SEC but don't sleep on the rest of this room.

The tight ends will do a lot to make this offense work under Liam Coen in 2023.
