The best story we see as college football fans is a former walk-on finding out he is being put on scholarship, and Kentucky fans got to see that on Monday.

Boyle County grad and current Kentucky wide receiver Cole Lanter found out he was being put on scholarship, and the entire team erupted.

This showed me just how close this football team really is, and Kentucky fans have to love that, as it leads to wins on the field.

The Kentucky kid is a hard worker and helps this team be successful thanks to all he does at practice, and was rewarded with a scholarship.

What a heartwarming moment for Lanter, Coach Stoops, and the entire team, as they all got to share a really special moment.
