Kentucky Football's 2024 SEC Opponents Revealed
A new era of the Southeastern Conference is coming.
With the 2022-23 sports cycle closing, just one season remains until the addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC. Conference realignment talk has basked in headlines for months, but it felt realer than ever on Wednesday night, as the SEC released the 2024 in-conference football schedule.
The eight-game conference slate remains, but gone are the East and West divisions following 2023. Kentucky's first meeting with one of the new powerful programs? In Austin to face the Longhorns.
Kentucky will host Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Vanderbilt
Along with the trip to Texas, UK will also head to Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Kentucky's four non-conference games once again includes the Governor's Cup vs. Louisville on the last week of the regular season, currently set for Nov. 30 in 2024, as well as an interesting road matchup at Akron to open the year on Aug. 31. The other two games are still set to come against Ohio on Sept. 21 and Murray State on Nov. 16.
