Kentucky Offers Grand Valley State Transfer WR Jahdae Walker
Coincidentally, Kentucky football has had more action with players in the transfer portal since the 15-day April window closed over the weekend.
The Wildcats are currently set to host a pair of defensive players later this month, as Rhode Island defensive back Antonio Carter and Northern Illinois linebacker Daveren Rayner are both set to head to Lexington soon. UK has already locked down one transfer, as USC offensive tackle Courtland Ford is likely set to take a starting spot in the Big Blue Wall this fall.
On Monday, another offer was announced, this time by another Division II transfer looking to make a splash at a new destination. Wide receiver Jahdae Walker entered the portal on April 26 after playing two seasons at Grand Valley State and has since received major interest from multiple Power 5 programs, including UK:
Texas A&M, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Mississippi State, Illinois and Michigan State are other schools that have issued offers alongside the Wildcats. As a sophomore in 2022, Walker — who hails from Cleveland, Ohio — managed 636 yards and four scores on 30 catches.
Kentucky has had 18 departures via the portal since it originally opened following the end of the 2022 season. It has brought in eight players, including Ford.
