Wyoming OL Emmanuel Pregnon Transferring to USC
Kentucky answered a big need in the April transfer portal window, landing offensive tackle Courtland Ford, who will head to Lexington after playing three years at USC and will compete for the starting right tackle job in the fall.
Ford was one of two offensive linemen that Kentucky reportedly offered, with the other being Wyoming's Emmanuel Pregnon, a highly touted lineman looking to leave Laramie for a new, bigger destination.
Standing 6-foot-6, 318 pounds, Pregnon seemingly announced an offer from a new Power 5 school every other hour, accruing interest from top programs all over the nation. Kentucky was in the mix, along with the likes of Auburn, LSU and Oregon. Pro Football Focus named Pregnon a Freshman All-American in 2022.
Eventually, the Denver native took in all of his options and opted to stay out west. He announced his commitment to USC on Wednesday, filling in that spot left by Ford:
The Trojans will likely take their OL swap, while Kentucky remains over the moon with the addition of Ford.
