3 reasons Kentucky could struggle against North Carolina

Kentucky faces another challenge this Saturday. What are some things that could cause the Wildcats to fall to North Carolina?

The Kentucky Wildcats are set to take on the No. 9 North Carolina Tarheels in Atlanta on Saturday as part of the CBS Sports Classic.

North Carolina will be the third top-10 opponent that Kentucky has taken on this season. The Tar Heels are playing good basketball this season and they have looked solid against multiple tough opponents.

What are the main things that could cause Kentucky to struggle against North Carolina?

North Carolina can depend on offensive production from multiple directions

North Carolina has four players who average more than 10 points per game.

Kentuck cannot afford to have an off-game defensively or North Carolina's offensive attack could quickly become too much for Kentucky to handle.

Kentucky is not always competent from 3-point range

When Kentucky lost to UNC Wilmington, it only shot 5-17 or 29.4 percent from 3-point range.

If Kentucky is unable to get anything going from beyond the arch it becomes a beatable team. UNC Wilmington put that on display.

North Carolina can out-rebound anyone

North Carolina has a skilled team when it comes to rebounding. The Tar Heels average 38.9 rebounds per game.

Kentucky will need to have a good game on the boards or North Carolina could take control.

Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at State Farm Arena and the broadcast can be found on CBS.
