3 things to know about the Auburn Tigers
The No. 22 Kentucky Wildcats take on the No. 13 Auburn Tigers tomorrow on the road inside Neville Arena.
Kentucky is looking for its second win in a row after beating Ole Miss 75-63 at home on Tuesday. Auburn picked up a convincing 101-61 win over No. 11 South Carolina on Wednesday.
What are three things to know about the Auburn Tigers?
Johni Broome and Jaylin Williams are one of the best forward duos in the country
Auburn's frontcourt has made a difference all season long.
Broome, a 6-foot-10 junior, leads Auburn in scoring with 16.2 points per game and in rebounds with 8.4 per game. Additionally, Broome is shooting 55.4% from the field and has added the 3-point shot to his game.
Williams, a 6-foot-8 senior, is Auburn's second-highest scorer with 13.4 points per game. He also averages 4.9 rebounds per game and shoots 59% from the field.
These two are both capable of taking over a game on their own, but when they are on the floor at the same time Auburn is a hard team to stop.
Auburn has an unreal home-court advantage
Neville Arena has gained a reputation as one of the toughest places to play in all of college basketball.
Members of Auburn's student section known as "The Jungle," have been camping out since the conclusion of Auburn's win over South Carolina on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats will be walking into one of the most hostile environments it will play in this season.
Auburn can shoot the lights out, particularly at home
The Tigers are shooting 46.9% from the field and 33.8% from 3-point range currently.
In its win over South Carolina Auburn shot 61% from the field and 60% from 3-point range, its best performance of the season in both categories.
Auburn does not always shoot the ball this well, but if the shots are falling tomorrow Kentucky will be in trouble.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. ET and the broadcast can be found on ESPN.
