3 things to know about the Mississippi State Bulldogs

Kentucky takes on Mississippi State tomorrow. What are some of the most important things to know about the Bulldogs?

After knocking off the No. 13 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, the No. 17 Kentucky Wildcats travel down to Starkville to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs at Humphrey Coliseum.

Kentucky's win over Alabama was its second win over the No. 13 team in the country in its last three games after beating Auburn on the road last Saturday.

Mississippi State has picked up five wins in a row and will be looking for another signature win as Selection Sunday approaches.

What are the biggest things to watch for during the game?

Tolu Smith can cause problems

Mississippi State's 6-foot-11 senior forward is one of the SEC's most dominant big men.

Smith leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 16.8 points per game and in rebounds with 8.1 per game. He is also shooting 59.7% from the field.

Kentucky's defense has struggled down low this season and Smith will provide another challenge in that area.

Mississippi State has a balanced offense

The Bulldogs have only two players averaging double-figures, Smith and Josh Hubbard who averages 15.3 points per game.

Mississippi State does, however, have nine players who average more than five points per game.

Despite not having many players putting up flashy numbers, the Bulldogs can move the ball around and score as a team.

The Bulldogs are getting hot

Mississippi State has one of the longest winning streaks in the SEC going currently.

The Bulldogs have continued to improve throughout the season and will be looking to continue their success with a win over the Wildcats.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and the television broadcast can be found on ESPN.
