Halftime Thoughts: A late run has Kentucky ahead of Arkansas by five in a shootout

Kentucky needs to improve the defense in the second half.

The Kentucky Wildcats lead the Arkansas Razorbacks 53-48 at the half in an offensive clinic in Rupp Arena.

The surprise of the half for Kentucky was Aaron Bradshaw. He has 12 points at the half while going 4-4 from the field and made his only three point shot. If Bradshaw can get going and Kentucky has all three of their seven-footers playing well as the postseason approaches, that will be huge for the Wildcats.

Kentucky needs to play better defense, as the Razorbacks are shooting 57.6% from the field. Arkansas is putting their head down and driving the ball straight to the rim. The Wildcats need to defend better in the second half to win this basketball game.

Antonio Reeves had a good half with 14 points on 5-7 shooting to lead the Wildcats. The veteran always seems to play well against Arkansas. Tre Mitchell made his return in this game after missing the last few games and has two points so far.

The recipe for a win for the Wildcats is to defend better in the second half.
