Halftime Thoughts: If Kentucky wants to beat Mississippi State they need to be more physical down low

Kentucky is trailing Mississippi State 43-35 at the half.

Kentucky is in Starkville, Mississippi, taking on the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and the Wildcats trail 43-35 at the half.

The score would have been uglier had DJ Wagner not drained a deep three to cut the deficit to eight points. Wagner had eight points in the first half, making two three-pointers.

Reed Sheppard has been good from deep so far, as he is 3-4 with nine points.

The issue for the Wildcats early in this game has been how good Mississippi State has been down low. The Bulldogs are known as a physical team, and they have been way more physical in this game. The Bulldogs have 22 points in the paint. If Kentucky is going to win this basketball game, they need to stop the Bulldogs down low.

Zvonimir Ivisic has been good on both ends of the floor in this game. If he can stop Tolu Smith down low, the Wildcats can come back and get this win. Kentucky needs this one badly, so a solid second half is a must.

Let's take a look at how to watch Kentucky's matchup with the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
