Joe Tipton on Reed Sheppard: "It's been incredible to see"

Kentucky's freshman guard has caught the attention of a lot of people including On3's Joe Tipton.
In this story:

One of the biggest positives of Kentucky's season so far has been the level of play from freshman guard Reed Sheppard.

Sheppard, a 6-foot-3, 187-pounder from London, Kentucky, was Kentucky's fifth-ranked recruit in its 2023 class. According to On3's industry rankings, Sheppard was a 4-star recruit with a 96.20 rating. He was the No. 38 player nationally, the No. 4 combo guard and the No. 1 player in the state of Kentucky.

On3's Joe Tipton appeared on Andy Staples' show and talked about what he has seen from Sheppard.

"No one saw this coming," Tipton said. "Coach Cal in interviews was not even mentioning Reed (Sheppard) among his stud freshman. But just his overall feel for the game. You can tell this guy was made to play basketball.

It's been incredible to see his rise and of course, his parents going there, him having so much success it's a very unique story.
