Jon Rothstein of CBS gave his early Final Four predictions and the Kentucky Wildcats made the cut.

The other teams Rothstein included were the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Purdue Boilermakers and the UConn Huskies.

Here is what Rothstein had to say about each of his picks:

Kentucky: "Kentucky though, is a close second from what I'm seeing off the bench," Rothstein said on picking Kentucky second. "Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard really remind me of they dynamic that UCLA had in 2013-14 with Bryce Alford and Zach Lavine off the bench."

North Carolina: "North Carolina has played exceptional basketball since losing to UConn and Kentucky in December," Rothstein said. "The Tar Heels right now have the best guard in the country in RJ Davis. They've got a Stalwart inside in Armando Bacot and Harrison Ingram the transfer from Stanford doing Yoeman's work at the four."

UConn: "UConn to me, is clearly the best team in college basketball," Rothstein said. "It has the highest ceiling in the sport."

Purdue: "I firmly believe that Purdue will exercise the demons and get to a Final Four after losing last year in the biggest upset in the history of the NCAA Tournament to Farleigh Dickinson," Rothstein said."

2023-24 is shaping up to be a big year for the Wildcats. Perhaps this will be the team that can put the pieces together and get Kentucky back to the Final Four.
