The addition of Jayden Quaintance has Kentucky's 2024 recruiting class second overall
Five-star center Jayden Quaintance chose Kentucky over Missouri, giving the Cats their second commit in three days as Travis Perry committed on Sunday.
The addition of these two to Kentucky's 2024 recruiting class, plus Boogie Fland and Somto Cyril, who have been committed for a while now, gives the Cats four players in the 2024 recruiting class.
Now that Quaintance has committed and signed with Kentucky, the Cats recruiting class is now second on 247Sports behind only Duke.
The Cats have a few more players they are after in this class, and if Coach Cal lands these guys, this class will be number one.
If this were to happen, it would be back-to-back number-one classes for Kentucky.
Kentucky now has two guards and two centers committed in this class, all of which will have an instant impact next season for the Cats when they are true freshmen.
The roles of Quaintance, Cyril, Fland, and Perry will all depend on which players from the 2023-24 roster stick around and which players move on to the NBA.
We will definitely see Justin Edwards, DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw, Rob Dillingham, and Antonio Reeves move on after this season, leaving tons of minutes for Kentucky's 2024 recruiting class.
Coach Calipari seems to be back to his old ways of bringing in talented freshmen, and early into the 2023-24 season, it seems to be working.
Jayden Quaintance 5-star center, Raleigh, North Carolina, No. 8 player in the class
Boogie Fland 5-star point guard, White Plains, New York, No. 20 player in the class
Somto Cyril 4-star center, Atlanta, Georgia, No. 52 player in the class
Travis Perry 4-star point guard, Eddyville, Kentucky, No. 80 player in the class
