Taking a look at Kentucky basketball's 2024 recruiting class after landing Travis Perry

Kentucky has the number six 2024 recruiting class after landing Travis Perry.

Kentucky got a surprise commitment as Travis Perry chose the Kentucky Wildcats when it seemed like he was almost certainly heading to Ole Miss.

Perry is a big addition to the Cats 2024 recruiting class as he is the all-time scoring leader in Kentucky his school basketball history.

This kid can shoot and create opportunities for his teammates, so even though he isn't the highest-ranked player, he will have an impact on the Kentucky Wildcats.

He faced off with Reed Sheppard a few times in high school, and some say Perry outplayed Sheppard despite both having good showings.

All Kentucky fans know how good Sheppard has been so far for the Cats, which should excite Big Blue Nation for the upside of Perry.

As for the other two recruits in Kentucky's 2024 class, both Boogie Fland and Somto Cyril signed their National Letter of Intent recently, securing them as part of Kentucky's 2024 class.

Fland is one of the most underrated guards in the 2024 class, and many in the recruiting world feel that the Cats are getting an outstanding player.

Cyril is a player who plays high-intensity defense, which will include a lot of blocked shots. Cyril is a player who might be in Lexington for a few seasons and will always add a defensive presence to the floor.

Kentucky's class is currently number six overall according to 247Sports composite rankings and could get even better on Wednesday when Jayden Quaintance commits.

Boogie Fland 5-star point guard, White Plains, New York, No. 20 player in the class

Somto Cyril 4-star center, Atlanta, Georgia, No. 52 player in the class

Travis Perry 4-star point guard, Eddyville, Kentucky, No. 80 player in the class
