Kentucky Briefing: Kentucky basketball commit Travis Perry describes how it felt having Coach John Calipari and some of the players watching him play
Travis Perry is a four-star guard committed to Kentucky and is the all-time leading scorer in the state of Kentucky.
Perry is currently in Lexington playing in the WGM Holiday Classic, where his high school, Lyon County, took on DeSales.
Lyon County won this ball game 82-69 thanks to an excellent closing performance from Perry.
In the game the night before, Kentucky head basketball coach John Calipari was in attendance with some of the Kentucky players to see Perry play.
After the win over DeSales, Perry was asked how it felt to look up and see those guys watching him play in Lexington the night before.
Perry had this to respond, " It was really neat, you know. Especially seeing not only Cal but all of the guys out here. You know, we went over to practice today before the game and got to talk to him a little bit, so it's just really neat to have that support for sure."
He is a excellent player who will have a large impact for the Cats next season when he is draining threes in Rupp Arena.

Daniel Locke wrote about two former Cats that are off to a great start at their new home.
"Two former Kentucky Wildcats, Keion Brooks Jr. and Sahvir Wheeler, ended up with the Washington Huskies following the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons respectively. With most of the non-conference slate wrapped up, both players have proven that they belong in Seattle."
