BREAKING: Kentucky ranked 9th in the AP Poll after beating North Carolina
Heading into their matchup with the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Kentucky Wildcats were ranked 14th in the AP Poll, but after the 87-83 win over North Carolina, they moved all the way up to #9.
This means that if the Cats can take care of business against the Louisville Cardinals and Illinois State Redbirds, they could move up a few more spots heading into the start of SEC play.
This Kentucky team is one of the best teams in college basketball, so it's great to see them receive the ranking they deserve.
The Cats start SEC play with a tough stretch playing @Florida, Missouri, then @Texas A&M. If they take care of business in these next five games, they will likely be a top-five team in all of college hoops.
It's good to see the Kentucky Wildcats back in the top ten of the AP Poll, but I feel the Cats will be ranked much higher here soon. This Kentucky basketball team has a very tough stretch ahead with SEC play getting going, but John Calipari's team will get the job done.
