Kentucky Basketball drops to No. 10 in AP Top 25 Poll

After going 1-1 over the last week, the Kentucky Wildcats dropped four spots in the latest AP Poll, moving from No. 6 to No. 10.

The Wildcats opened up the week with a 79-62 road loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday night and picked up a narrow 63-57 road win over the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.

In the South Carolina loss, Kentucky was led in scoring by Rob Dillingham who had 16 points. He was closely followed by Antonio Reeves who had 15 and Tre Mitchell who had 13. Aaron Bradshaw led the way in rebounds with eight and D.J. Wagner led in assists with three.

The Wildcats shot 40.3% from the field, 30.8% from 3-point range and 88.9% from the free-throw line.

In the win over Arkansas, Reeves led the way in scoring with 24 points. Mitchell led in rebounds with 11 and Wagner led in assists with three.

Kentucky shot 36.5% from the field, 45% from 3-point range and 66.7% from the free-throw line.

After playing two road games last week, the Wildcats will get to play at home inside Rupp Arena twice this week.

Kentucky takes on the Florida Gators on Wednesday and the No. 5 Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday.

Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday and the television broadcast can be found on ESPN. Tipoff for Saturday is set for 8:30 p.m. CT and ESPN will carry the television broadcast for that game as well.
