Kentucky is taking on the Marshall Thundering Herd in Rupp Arena, and the Cats are off to a red-hot start, especially the freshmen.

Justin Edwards has seven points, including two early threes, and DJ Wagner has eight points, two assists, and a rebound. Rob Dillingham had three points, five rebounds, and five assists. Reed Sheppard has four points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

We wanted to see Edwards get himself going in this ball game, and that seems to be the case early, as he is shooting the ball well and has been efficient from the field.

This has been a great all-around start by the Cats, as they have been great offensively and defensively, leading to an early 25-point lead over the Thundering Herd.

Every game we watch, these young freshmen continue to get better and better.

If they continue to do this, John Calipari's squad will hit its stride just at the right time, hopefully leading to a deep run in March.

Hopefully, the Cats stay hot in this ball game and finish strong, giving all of the freshmen confidence when the #10 Miami Hurricanes come to town on Tuesday.

Let's take a look at some of the early highlights from the freshmen as they take on Marshall.
