Kentucky basketball has more length than the North Carolina Tar Heels
The Kentucky Wildcats are getting ready to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels in a battle of the Blue Bloods.
This game will be played in Atlanta, Georgia, and you can expect a ton of fans in the stands for both ball clubs.
I was looking trying to find a few places the Cats have an advantage in this game, and one would be the length of this Kentucky team compared to UNC.
Let's take a look at the North Carolina stating five's height compared to Kentucky's.
UNC: 6'11, 6'7, 6'5, 6'1, 6'0
Kentucky: 6'9, 6'8, 6'8, 6'6, 6'4
There is a world where Aaron Bradshaw plays starter minutes in this game, and if he does, you would add 7'2 to that list for the Cats.
Especially if they play the lineup where Tre Mitchell is the four and Bradshaw is the five.
This North Carolina team shoots over 35% from three and has some talented guards, so Kentucky's size needs to slow the Tar Heel backcourt.
If DJ Wagner and Antonio Reeves can use their length to contest shots from the North Carolina guards, this will go a long way to help the Cats get a win. Bradshaw and Mitchell will also be key in this game, where they will hopefully stop Armando Bacot.
This is going to be a fun game, and height is one place the Cats have a clear advantage.
