Kentucky Basketball's Zvonimir Ivisic Made Eligible By NCAA
The Kentucky Wildcats just got some great news.
After months of waiting, the NCAA has finally approved one of Kentucky's biggest prospects to become eligible for the 2023-24 season. It was halfway through the season, granted, but the announcement has finally come.
Zvonimir Ivisic, a 7-foot-2 forward from Croatia, has been officially ruled eligible by the NCAA, per Big Z himself.
“Hey BBN, guess what? I’m free," Ivisic said on Twitter/X. "See you all tonight at the game. Thank you all for the support. Go BBN!”
This announcement comes six months after Ivisic committed to come play for Kentucky basketball back in August. There have been a number of issues thrown Ivisic's and Kentucky's way ever since, including problems surrounding his ability to even get into the country, start school, stay healthy and get eligible for basketball.
With half of the season having already flown by, it seemed like there was no hope to get Ivisic cleared. But 172 days after his commitment, he can finally play.
