Kentucky checks in at No. 15 in latest AP Poll
After going 2-0 over the last week, the Kentucky Wildcats rose one spot in the latest AP Poll, climbing from No. 16 to No. 15.
Kentucky picked up a 91-89 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs on the road on Tuesday night. Reed Sheppard hit a buzzer-beater.
The Wildcats shot 55% from the field, 33.3% from 3-point range and 88.2% from the free-throw line. Sheppard led the team in points, rebounds and assists with 32, five and seven respectively.
The Bulldogs shot 51.6% from the field, 44% from 3-point range and 70.6% from the free-throw line. Josh Hubbard led the team in scoring with 34 points, Tolu Smith led in rebounds with 10 and Cameron Matthews led in assists with six.
The Wildcats knocked off the Arkansas Razorbacks 111-102 at home on Saturday.
Kentucky shot 56.7% from the field, 45% from 3-point range and 81% from the free-throw line. Antonio Reeves led the team in scoring with 22 points, Zvonimir Ivisic led in rebounds with nine, Rob Dillingham and Sheppard co-led in assists with five each.
Arkansas shot 53.1% from the field, 41.2% from 3-point range, and 96.4% from the free-throw line. Khalif Battle led the Razorbacks in scoring with 34 points and in rebounds with eight, Tramon Mark led in assists with three.
Kentucky takes on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on SEC Network. The Wildcats close out the regular season with a road match against the No. (insert) Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on CBS.
