Kentucky drops to No. 17 in latest AP Poll

Kentucky dropped seven spots in this week's AP Poll.

After going 0-2 over the last week, the Kentucky Wildcats fell seven spots in the AP Poll, dropping from No. 10 to No. 17.

Kentucky fell 94-91 in overtime at the hands of the Florida Gators at home inside Rupp Arena on Wednesday. 

Kentucky shot 44.9% from the field, 38.5% from 3-point range and 64.7% from the free-throw line. Reed Sheppard led the Wildcats in scoring with 24 points and assists with six, Ugonna Onyenso led in rebounds with 16. 

Florida shot 41% from the field, 42.9% from 3-point range and 81.8% from the free-throw line. Walter Clayton Jr. led the Gators in scoring with 23 points, Tyrese Samuel led in rebounds with 13, Zyon Pulling led in assists with seven.

On Saturday, Kentucky fell 103-92 at the hands of the No. 5 Tennessee Volunteers also at home inside Rupp Arena.

Kentucky shot 49.3% from the field, 44.4% from 3-point range and 63.2% from the free-throw line. Rob Dillingham led the Wildcats in scoring with 35 points. Aaron Bradshaw, Onyenso and Adou Thiero each had six rebounds. Sheppard led the way in assists with six.

Tennessee shot 48.6% from the field, 40% from 3-point range and 73.1% from the free-throw line. Josiah-Jordan James and Zakai Zeigler co-led the Volunteers in scoring with 26 points each. Jonas Aidoo led in rebounds with 11 and Ziegler also led in assists with 13.

The Wildcats will take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road and the Gonzaga Bulldogs at home this week.
