Antonio Reeves talks about his excitement to play #1 Kansas in his hometown
The Kentucky Wildcats are set to head to Chicago to take on the #1 Kansas Jayhawks in the United Center.
This game will be a homecoming for Kentucky guard Antonio Reeves, who is from Windy City.
After Kentucky's win over Texas A&M-Commerce, Reeves was asked if he was excited to play in his hometown.
Reeves had this to say, "Yeah, I'm very excited. Can't wait. I've got a lot of people coming. It's going to be a big game, and we just have to show them what we can do."
It's great to hear Reeves will have a big cheering section at the game vs. the Kansas Jayhawks because if the Cats want to win this game, a lot of it will come down to how well he plays.
This feels like the type of game that Reeves will need to explode for 25+ points for the Cats to win, so hopefully, he shoots well in the United Center.
Hearing this, I have a suspicion that Reeves is going to have a big game, as he will want to do something special for his friends and family in attendance.
Kentucky's game vs. the Kansas Jayhawks will be a tough one to win without all of the size down low, so the veterans will need to play well and keep the freshmen calm if it doesn't start out great.
Reeves will prove why he is one of the best shooters in college basketball on Tuesday evening.
