Malachi Moreno talks about Kentucky visit

One of the top bigs in the 2025 recruiting class reflected on his visit to Kentucky.
In this story:

Kentucky is in contention for one of the top centers in the 2025 recruiting class.

Malachi Moreno, a 7-foot, 210-pound center, is a native of Georgetown, Kentucky.

Moreno is a 4-star recruit with a 95.54 industry rating according to On3. He is the No. 44 player nationally, the No. 4 center and the No. 1 player in the state of Kentucky.

On3's Joe Tipton put out a report in which Moreno broke down his college visits. Moreno had some positive things to say about his time in Lexington.

“Kentucky is Kentucky, you know," Moreno said. "They’re the top of the top. Coach Cal, he’s one of the best to ever to do it. He knows what he’s doing. A lot of people probably disagree with that statement but his players speak for himself. Anthony Davis is now one of the best players in the league. De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk are one of the best backcourt in the league and were the best backcourt in college basketball. His resume speaks for himself and just the rich history of that school and how they put people in the league is what really stands out to me.”

Kentucky is currently given the second-best chance to land Moreno according to On3's recruiting prediction machine. The Iowa Hawkeyes are currently given the highest odds.
