Phoenix Suns HC Frank Vogel praises John Calipari: "Keep doing what you're doing Coach Cal"

Frank Vogel, the head coach of the Phoenix Suns, had some positive things to say about John Calipari.

Despite having some recent struggles, Kentucky Wildcats head coach John Calipari is still getting recognition from some of the game's most well-known coaches.

Phoenix Suns head coach Frank Vogel gave some props to Calipari according to Shane Young of Forbes Sports.

A Clutch Points article written by Brian Buyawe included a statement made by Vogel.

“Keep doing what you're doing Coach Cal!” Vogel said.

Kentucky currently has 28 former players who are on an NBA roster. The Wildcats are represented on 18 different NBA rosters.

Kentucky has had 58 first-round picks throughout the history of its program. 35 of those first-round selections happened under Calipari's tutelage. Calipari has put 12 players in the league in addition to those first-round selections.

In the 2023 NBA Draft, Calipari extended his streak of having a first-round draft pick to 16 years, extending a record that he had set years earlier.

Calipari and the Wildcats had the most players selected in 2015 with six.

The Wildcats will be represented at the NBA All-Star game in Indianapolis, Indiana by Bam Adebayo, Karl Anthony-Towns, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Maxey and Julius Randle.

Kentucky returns to action on Saturday when it takes on the No. 13 Auburn Tigers at 6:00 p.m. ET. The television broadcast can be found on ESPN.
