WATCH: Reed Sheppard gets to the rim and scores through contact against Louisville

Reed Sheppard just made a pretty move to the rim for two points.

This game, without question, is incredibly important for the Kentucky Wildcats and the Louisville Cardinals, and both of these teams have proved this early.

Knowing that Reed Sheppard's parents both played at Kentucky, this game means a lot to them, and growing up in Kentucky means Sheppard wants to play well in this ball game.

He has early in this game as he already scored six points and has four assists early in this ball game.

Sheppard's best early play of the game was when he got to the rim and was fouled but still finished. He, of course, made the and-one free throw as Sheppard is one of the best free throw shooters in college hoops.

This game was close early, but the Cats have stretched out a bit of a lead as we get close to halftime.

All Kentucky fans want the Kentucky native Sheppard to have a big game against the Cardinals, and I can see a world where he scores 20.

Let's take a look at Sheppard's beautiful and one basket and the three he made where he lost his defender.
