Sahvir Wheeler has been red hot for the Washington Huskies

Sahvir Wheeler can't be stopped in the PAC-12.

After two seasons in Lexington and four seasons in the SEC, former Kentucky point guard Sahvir Wheeler decided to make the move to the Pac-12 to play for the Washington Huskies. 

Wheeler has been incredible for the Huskies this season, averaging 17.2 points per game. 

He is also averaging 6.2 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game for Washington. 

Wheeler is taking on more of a scoring role in Washington than he did for Coach Calipari's Wildcats. 

During the 2021-22 season, Wheeler averaged 10.1 points for the Cats in 30 games, while in the 2022-23 season, he averaged 7.7 points while only playing in 21 games.

So all combined, in his first four years of college hoops, Wheeler averaged 10.2 points per game, which he has increased to 17.2 so far this season for the Washinton Huskies. 

It's definitely interesting to see Wheeler having so much success at a new school, but it makes sense as he has had more volume. 

If you look at his shooting percentages this season, they aren't really any better than his first four years of college basketball. He is simply taking more shots that he wouldn't have had if he was still playing for the Cats. 

It's nothing new, as it seems nearly every player who leaves Lexington to find a new school finds immediate success.
