Two Kentucky NBA Draft hopefuls receive NBA comparisons

Who do these Kentucky Wildcats play like in the NBA?

Kentucky has a bunch of players on the roster who will be hoping to hear their names called in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft.

Two of those players come off the bench for the Wildcats as Rob Dillingham and Reed Sheppard are both projected top-ten picks.

These two have been some of the best players in all of college hoops this season and are the reason Kentucky is in a good spot heading into the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournaments. BR_Hoops on Instagram just posted an NBA comparison for some of the players hoping to be selected in the upcoming NBA Draft.

Rod Dillingham was compared to Lou Williams. The longtime sixth man hasn't played in a game since the 2021-22 season but averaged 13.9 points per game, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists during his career. He was a career-long 35.1% shooter from beyond the three-point line. The journeyman played for five teams during his 19-year career. Williams, like Dillingham, is a smaller guard standing 6'1. There is no such thing as a perfect comparison, but this is a fair one for the Kentucky star.

Reed Sheppard was compared to New York Knicks guard and former Villanova star Donte DiVincenzo. On the season, DiVincenzo is averaging 14.3 points per game to go with 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists. With former Kentucky star Julius Randle in and out of the lineup this season, DiVincenzo has been really good with the superstars off the floor. He is a bit taller than Sheppard at 6'4, but this isn't a terrible comparison. I would say Sheppard is a better facilitator, but Divincenzo is a bit more athletic than Sheppard.

These are fair comparisons for the current Kentucky stars Dillingham and Sheppard, who will likely head to the NBA after this season ends.
