Two stock risers from Kentucky's win over the Stonehill Skyhawks
The Kentucky Wildcats took on the Stonehill Skyhawks and won in blowout fashion thanks to an offensive explosion.
The Cats scored 100 points for the first time this season, which sent Rupp Arena into a frenzy when the basketball fell to get Kentucky to that mark.
The two players listed in today's stock risers article have been on it so often this season that it should be named after them.
Let's take a look at two stock risers from Kentucky's 101-67 win over the Stonehill Skyhawks.
Reed Sheppard
Reed Sheppard scored 20+ points for the first time in his Kentucky career, as the freshman guard had 25 points. He was 9-10 from the field and 7-8 from beyond the three-point line. The best part of Sheppard's game is he isn't just a scorer. He also added seven assists, three rebounds, three steals, and two blocks to his stat line. He is truly the complete basketball player. Many thought Sheppard would stick around in Lexington for a few seasons, but if he continues to play like this, he could be a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
Rob Dillingham
Rob Dillingham, like Sheppard, has been incredible off the bench for the Cats so far this season. In this ball game against Stonehill, Dillingham scored 20 points on 7-10 shooting and 3-6 from deep. He also dished seven assists, grabbed four rebounds, and had two steals. He is so shifty with the basketball, which is why they call him Rob with da shifts. Dillingham's shiftiness helps him get to the rim and score, get open jump shots, and find teammates open for shots. Dillingham is another player who is playing his way into the first round of the NBA Draft.
