3-Star 2024 Running Back Tovani Mizell Commits to Kentucky
Kentucky football's 2024 recruiting class continues to grow.
For the third day in a row, the Wildcats have landed a commitment. This time, it's 3-star running back Tovani Mizell, who announced his decision to head to Lexington on Kentucky Sports Radio Wednesday morning.
Mizell, a 6-foot-1, 193-pounder out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was previously a Georgia commit, but backed off his decision in March. Kentucky was on the case soon after, welcoming the tailback to Lexington for a visit in June, which was soon followed by his commitment.
He also took an OV to North Carolina and held offers from Alabama, Florida, USC, Oregon and plenty of other Power 5 programs. Mizell is the No. 490 overall player and No. 38 RB in the 2024 class, per the On3 Consensus. He's considered a 4-star by ESPN.
Offensive coordinator Liam Coen and running backs coach Jay Boulware headed the recruitment that led to the seventh member of UK's '24 class. On Monday, it was 3-star interior offensive lineman Jadon Lafontant. Tuesday, it was coveted kicking and punting specialist Jacob Kauwe. Wednesday, it was Mizell.
The Cats remain hot on the trail.
